About Ube Fiesta

Ube Fiesta is the biggest Ube celebration in Europe!

“Ube,” renowned among Filipinos for its nutty, creamy taste, and most notably for its brilliant purple color, began to gain favor in the German culinary scene during the first-ever Ube Fiesta in Germany in June 2022.

Initially launched by the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt in 2022 to empower the Filipino community in Germany, Ube Fiesta has grown into a dynamic, community-led cultural diplomacy initiative. Through strong partnerships with Filipino organizations across Germany, it has become a hallmark event celebrating Filipino culture, identity, and gastronomy while strengthening Filipino-German ties.

Coinciding with Philippine Independence Day, Ube Fiesta has evolved beyond a culinary festival into a platform for public diplomacy, uniting Filipinos across Germany and beyond. It promotes ube as a global cultural and economic symbol while fostering demand for Filipino products in Europe. With strong media engagement, the event continues to amplify ube’s role in shaping Filipino identity and heritage on the world stage.

Booth Reservations - Ube Fiesta

Coordination with Cologne City authorities regarding guidelines for non-food and grocery items is ongoing. Further details will be shared once these guidelines are finalized. In the meantime, food vendors are being prioritized to ensure sufficient supply for the expected crowd.

At Ube Fiesta 2025 in Stuttgart, booth rental was €300-500 for a one-day event, with the venue provided free of charge through local support. For Ube Fiesta 2026 in Cologne, booth rental is €499 per day, with priority given to vendors booking both days of the festival. The only change in pricing reflects the extension of the event to two days; despite this year’s venue involving significant costs, the booth rate itself has not increased beyond the equivalent of last year’s one-day fee multiplied by two.

The venue for Ube Fiesta 2026 was identified and coordinated by the organizers in close consultation with the City and jointly selected based on considerations of crowd capacity, safety, accessibility, and overall comfort. The venue is managed by a non-profit organization, with revenues supporting its community and cultural projects.

As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, Ube Fiesta 2026 marks our biggest edition yet and our first time hosting the festival at a major professional venue, with venue-related costs of approximately €15,000, excluding stage, technical, security, and other operational expenses. Unlike previous years, when venue fees were waived or minimal due to support from private grounds and local governments.. this new venue allows us to host a two-day festival, welcome 15,000+ visitors per day, and provide significantly improved infrastructure, safety, and overall festival experience.

Despite these higher costs, Ube Fiesta remains a free-entry event, in line with our mission to keep the festival accessible to everyone.

The adjusted booth rates reflect the increased scale, venue and infrastructure costs, operational requirements, and our commitment to delivering a high-quality and well-organized event.

As the festival grows, we are also prioritizing vendors with event experience, valid business permits, and knowledge of German laws and health regulations. As a festival dedicated to mainstreaming ube in Germany, booth spaces are prioritized for vendors who actively promote, use, and sell ube products, in line with the core mission of Ube Fiesta.

We warmly welcome home bakers and small businesses and encourage booth sharing as a way to support emerging entrepreneurs. Non-food vendors and Filipino-German groups are invited to participate through the festival program instead such as the Ube Fiesta Parade, performances, and collaborations rather than as booth holders.

We are grateful for the strong early interest from vendors, despite the increase in booth rates, a large number of vendors have already expressed strong interest, with many securing and reserving their slots at an early stage. This overwhelming response clearly demonstrates that Ube Fiesta has become a highly anticipated and valued event within the Filipino community, eagerly looked forward to by both vendors and visitors each year.

We sincerely thank our partners and vendors for their understanding, trust, and continued support as we bring Ube Fiesta in Germany 2026 to life.
