CONTEST MECHANICS

Eligibility

* The contest is open to Filipino individuals, families, friends, community groups, organizations, and mixed groups residing in Germany.
* Each group must have a minimum of 5 members and a maximum of 15 members.
* Participants may be of any age. Children and minors must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Registration

* Registration must be completed before the announced deadline.
* Each group must submit the required registration details, including:
* Group name
* Name of group leader/contact person
* Number of members
* Contact details
* Each participant may join only one competing group.

Performance

* Each group shall perform one Christmas medley or Christmas song/songs.
* The performance must showcase the Filipino spirit of Christmas.
* Groups are encouraged to incorporate Filipino Christmas elements such as parol, traditional Filipino Christmas songs, Filipino-inspired costumes, choreography, and creative props.
* Original arrangements and creative interpretations are highly encouraged.
* Performance time is limited to 5–7 minutes per group.
* Going beyond the maximum performance time may result in a deduction in points.

Music & Instruments

* Live singing is highly encouraged.
* Participants may use musical instruments, including guitars, keyboards, percussion, and other appropriate instruments.
* Backing tracks may be used, provided that they do not contain lead vocals that replace the contestants’ singing.
* Groups are responsible for bringing their own instruments and backing tracks unless otherwise announced by the organizers.

GENERAL RULES

* The decision of the judges shall be final and irrevocable.
* Participants must maintain proper conduct and respect fellow contestants, organizers, judges, and guests.
* Any performance containing offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate material may be disqualified.
* The use of dangerous props, open flames, or materials that may pose a safety risk is strictly prohibited.
* Participants must follow the program schedule and be present at the designated assembly/staging area before their performance.
* Failure to appear when called may result in disqualification.
* The organizers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the mechanics when necessary for safety, scheduling, or event requirements.
