Background

In December 2024, Philnity e.V. successfully launched the first-ever Filipino Christmas Market Festival in Germany at the historic Faber Castell Schlosspark in Stein, Bavaria. The groundbreaking event welcomed thousands of visitors and highlighted the vibrant spirit of Filipino Christmas traditions, combining food, culture, and community.

Families and children interested in cross-cultural festive The festival offered an immersive experience into Filipino holiday heritage through iconic delicacies, cultural performances, and the cherished tradition of Simbang Gabi, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation among international and local audiences.

Due to its overwhelming success and positive reception, the festival will now become a yearly tradition in Germany.

Project Overview

The Second Philippine Christmas Market Festival will take place at the Kultur im Park Wiesbaden, in the heart of central Germany. This new venue offers greater accessibility and reach, expanding the festival’s impact and audience.

Organized and presented by Philnity e.V., the festival will once again bring together the warmth, flavors, and joy of Filipino Christmas, serving as a platform for community connection, cultural celebration, and international understanding.

Objectives

  1. Celebrate Filipino Heritage – Showcase the richness of Filipino Christmas traditions to a diverse audience.
  2. Promote Cultural Exchange – Foster appreciation between the Filipino community in Germany and the wider international audience.
  3. Support Charitable Causes – Strengthen Philnity e.V.’s mission of supporting underprivileged children in the Philippines through festival proceeds.
  4. Build Community Bonds – Unite Filipinos in Germany and friends of the Philippines in a festive, family-oriented atmosphere.
  5. Establish a Tradition – Cement the festival as an anticipated annual event in Germany’s holiday calendar.
