About Ube Fiesta

Ube Fiesta is the biggest Ube celebration in Europe!

“Ube,” renowned among Filipinos for its nutty, creamy taste, and most notably for its brilliant purple color, began to gain favor in the German culinary scene during the first-ever Ube Fiesta in Germany in June 2022.

Initially launched by the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt in 2022 to empower the Filipino community in Germany, Ube Fiesta has grown into a dynamic, community-led cultural diplomacy initiative. Through strong partnerships with Filipino organizations across Germany, it has become a hallmark event celebrating Filipino culture, identity, and gastronomy while strengthening Filipino-German ties.

Coinciding with Philippine Independence Day, Ube Fiesta has evolved beyond a culinary festival into a platform for public diplomacy, uniting Filipinos across Germany and beyond. It promotes ube as a global cultural and economic symbol while fostering demand for Filipino products in Europe. With strong media engagement, the event continues to amplify ube’s role in shaping Filipino identity and heritage on the world stage.
